Frode Alnæs is a Norwegian acknowledged guitarist, vocalist and composer. His musical roots in both jazz and pop make him an exciting, playful and improvising musician. He has a respectful attitude to music in general and various genres.

After more than 40 years as a professional musician, he is known from cooperation with both international artists and a majority of Norwegian top tier of musicians and artists in nearly all genres; rock, jazz, classical, contemporary and folk music.

Frode Alnæs has released seven solo albums, and a full eight albums with his band «Dance With A Stranger». He has contributed as a songwriter and guitarist on more than 150 albums at home and abroad.

Frode Alnæs is the driving force and bandleader of the highly successful band «Dance With A Stranger», and has written all their music. They are one of the biggest pop successes in Norway, with 3 Norwegian Grammys («Spellemannsprisen»). The band has released several no. 1 albums and a number of huge hits, incl. «Long December Nights», «Everyone Needs A Friend» and «The Invisible Man».

He is also internationally recognized for writing «Vitae Lux», recorded by a vast number of artists. A version of the song, performed by Sissel Kyrkjebø and Mormon Tabernacle Choir, stayed for 10 weeks on Billboard´s Top Classic list.

He has composed the opera/ musical «Donna Bacalao» and written several commissioned works from various musical events and festivals.

Frode Alnæs is known for his unique ability to communicate with the audience, which has made him one of Norway’s most beloved artists. It’s never boring when Frode is on stage. He is outgoing and always offers musical surprises and a good mood.
